Privacy
Your data, simply.
What we keep, who sees it and for how long.
Verification
- We ask for your full name, date of birth, mobile number, a photo of your ID and a selfie.
- Only the review team sees the photos, and they are deleted as soon as a decision is made.
- Before uploading, the photos are shrunk on your device and their metadata, such as where they were taken, is removed.
- You can cover your ID number. We don't need it.
- When you sign up, you tell us why you're joining. Only the review team sees this.
Parents
- When signing up, a parent or guardian can formally declare their child's username. The review team sees the declaration during verification.
- Once both are verified, the child receives an invitation to the “Family” circle, which says who made the declaration.
- The parent sees nothing of the child until the child accepts. The child can decline or leave the circle at any time.
What other members see
- Your first name, username, city and bio, if you fill it in.
- How many people you have helped and how many safe trips home you have made.
- Never your date of birth or your age.
Trips and location
- Your live location is sent only while you have an active trip.
- Only the circles you choose see your exact location. Members you approve see an area of about 500 metres, unless you choose to show them your exact location.
- Public requests show only the destination area. Destination coordinates are rounded to about 1 kilometre.
- Your exact address is stored only if you choose to share it.
- Your circles see your mobile number during an active trip. Members you approve see it only if you press SOS.
Minors
- The app is for people aged 15 and over.
- Under 18, trips are visible only to the member's circles, and the member does not see trips of strangers.
On your device
- “Home”, recent destinations and your display theme are stored only on your device, without an exact address.
